Alongside fauna and flora, the realm of funga is indispensable when studying macroscopic life. Without fungi organisms, ecosystems would cease to exist. These collaborative and symbiotic relations show us how nobody can live without the other. The discussion bridges the gap between fungal studies and performance arts, and explores how theater can help in decentering the human and recentering other forms of life and living.

This event is part of A Series of More-Than-Human Encounters, a collaboration of VUB Crosstalks and Kaaitheater which seeks to explore the relations between human and more-than-human beings in a world that has been shaped by imperialism, patriarchy and capitalism. It was organized together with Pilar and took place on May 22 2024.
